What an exciting year 2025 has been for all of us at OrthoGenix! From new product launches to meaningful connections at industry events, we have continued to build on our mission of improving foot health, mobility and quality of life for individuals across Australia and internationally. In this blog, we’ll take you through the major highlights of our year - including events where we were proud to be represented, innovations in product design and expanded ranges under our own and partner brands. As always, we’re grateful for your continued trust and interest in what we do.
A Busy Events Calendar and Valuable Connections
This year, we were thrilled to take OrthoGenix on the road and meet many practitioners, customers and partners face-to-face.
In November, we set up a stall at the Diabetes Feet Australia (DFA) Conference in our hometown of Sydney. This sold-out event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our latest offerings, share insights into custom footwear solutions and connect with clinicians focused on diabetes-related foot health. We absolutely loved engaging with delegates interested in improving outcomes for high-risk patients.
Indeed, the month of November was exceptionally busy, as we also attended the SA Health Supplier Conference, an event that brought together SA Health leaders, procurement teams and healthcare suppliers from across Australia. The conference focused on strengthening supplier relationships, clarifying procurement priorities and outlining future opportunities within South Australia’s public health system.
The Conference was well organised and highly engaging, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, transparency and practical guidance for suppliers. Key themes included long-term partnerships, innovation and digital solutions, sustainability and ESG principles, engagement with Indigenous businesses and aligning supplier capabilities with SA Health priorities.
The opportunity to engage directly with procurement teams and other suppliers provided valuable insights into expectations, tender readiness and future pathways for collaboration.
We were also proud to sponsor the Pedorthic Association of Australia (PAA) Conference in Kingscliff on the far north coast of NSW in September. Our support for this event reinforced our commitment to supporting foot health professionals with quality products, education, and collaboration.
Together, these events strengthened OrthoGenix’s relationships across clinical, industry and public health settings, reinforcing our commitment to collaboration, quality and long-term partnerships within the foot health sector.
New Products and Expanded Ranges in 2025
Solewise: Our Custom Brand Taking Shape
In 2025, we saw significant expansion in our Solewise - Custom by OrthoGenix range. We added more styles, improved design options and broadened our catalogue to support clinicians and customers seeking truly tailored footwear solutions. Our focus remains on blending biomechanical excellence with comfort and everyday wearability - and the updated Solewise range reflects that commitment.
Whether for sensitive feet, post-surgical support or complex biomechanical needs, the Solewise collection continues to grow in both variety and performance, reflecting valuable feedback from our professional partners and end users alike.
New Sock Offerings: Comfort Meets Functionality
Under our own brand, this year we introduced two exciting sock products:
- Amputee-friendly bamboo socks - crafted from ultra-soft bamboo fibre that is gentle on the skin, moisture-wicking, breathable and ideal for sensitive or compromised feet, including those with diabetes or neuropathy. These socks reflect our ongoing focus on comfort and skin integrity.
- Silver-infused yarn socks - engineered with antimicrobial silver woven directly into the fibres, these socks provide advanced protection against bacteria and odour, while delivering all-day comfort. They are especially valued by people with diabetes, athletes, those with sensitive feet and anyone who prioritises foot hygiene and comfort.
Together, these represent meaningful innovation in everyday foot care essentials - not merely socks but products with a significant impact on comfort and wellbeing.
Prefabricated Footwear: Medical Grade Options for More Patients
We were delighted to expand our range of Medical Grade Footwear (MGF) in 2025 by introducing prefabricated options from Extrostyle and dedicated post-operative and therapeutic footwear from Streifeneder. These additions broaden our solutions for rehabilitation, sensitive foot conditions and post-surgical care, giving clinicians and customers access to high-function, ready-to-fit footwear without the longer lead times associated with bespoke shoes.
These new product lines sit alongside our custom-made footwear and orthotic services, allowing us to support an even wider range of clinical needs - from acute care through to long-term management.
Our Custom-Made and Therapeutic Product Foundations
Of course, our core custom-made offerings remain central to what we do:
- Custom orthotic insoles and shoes, designed using advanced 3D scanning, CAD and precision manufacturing to address individual foot mechanics with accuracy (as registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods – ARTG). Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
- Therapeutic diabetic socks (ARTG registered), an essential product for diabetes foot care. Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
These products continue to deliver meaningful improvements in comfort, pressure distribution and mobility - especially for people living with diabetes, circulatory conditions, biomechanical challenges and chronic pain.
Strengthening Professional Partnerships
Throughout 2025, we also continued to build strong relationships with clinics, podiatrists, pedorthists and allied health professionals. Collaborating closely with clinicians not only helps us refine our products, but it also ensures that patients receive solutions that fit their unique lifestyles and health needs.
Looking Ahead: What’s Coming in 2026
We’re already looking forward to 2026 with great anticipation.
- New materials and innovation are on the horizon, including performance fabrics, biomechanically tuned midsoles and next-generation comfort technologies.
- We will broaden our prefabricated Medical Grade Footwear collection with additional leading brands, which will soon be introduced to the Australian market.
Stay tuned - we’ll be sharing more details in the months ahead!
